15 - 16 Dec:  Several of us departed Bimini
on 15 Dec.  Our neighbors Joe (single -
hander on S/V Pegasus) & Marilyn & Vic (S/V
Whisper) departed before us.  Due to north
winds most of us went south to get access
to the Great Bahama Bank (GBB) via either
Turtle Rocks or Triangle Rocks - we took the
later and were glad for it - more sea room
along that route.  We decided to go through
the night while the others did what we'd
done before - anchor for the night around
NW light.  We arrived off the coast of Nassau
around 0500, slowed and entered around
0830 following a huge cruise liner & with the
sun directly in our eyes.  Joe arrived later
that day and berthed in the slip next to us.
16 - 20  Nassau Harbour Club Marina:  The most recent time
we'd been here (2008) the facility was being rehabbed.  The
most obvious and appreciated improvements are the
laundry ($3/token/load) and the heads/showers.  The
proximity to the mall with Winn Dixie like store & Starbucks
is also appreciated - as before.  WiFi is not great.  It was
easier in Bimini!  We made a bee-line for The Green Parrot
to enjoy the best hamburger in paradise!  ...and their
margaritas aren't bad either!
21 Dec:  Crossed the Yellow bank en route
Highbourne Cay Marina where we will RON
after topping off our fuel and water
supplies.  We only had to dodge 5 - 6 coral
heads despite the sun being in our eyes
most of the transit.
